Overview
Completion of controllership tasks, such as journals, reconciliations and cashflow forecasts. Processing of payments to meet quarterly targets, including setting up vendors, raising purchase orders and processing invoices. Financial Planning and Analysis tasks, for example setting up titles on a global tracking system and completing ad-hoc reporting tasks.
Skills
I have learnt a huge variety of skills, varying from journal creation to email communication skills to accounting procedures. My existing skills were also developed, such as my excel ability and soft skills.
Responsibilities
A very large amount of responsibility. My tasks were often supervised or reviewed, however as my skills developed, I was given full ownership. I complete tasks regularly for senior members of the company.
Support & Guidance
Despite working entirely virtually, I was given an enormous amount of support. I couldn't have wished for more. My entire team was happy to help, as well as the rest of the company.
Culture
It was a very friendly and creative culture. Everybody was extremely happy to help with anything and glad to have a short catch up or introduction.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed to the full extent and would gladly return to the company or continue my placement if given the choice.
