The Role
It is a lot of hard work and very challenging but it was far from boring and working in a motivated team made it very enjoyable.
I was left to reach my own targets and worked on some jobs alone which shows value and trust. I was asked for reccomendations and was treated as any other member would be in the team, overall really valued.
I was able to ask my direct line manager questions on how to use the computer system to what candidates to submit, I felt that support was there whenever i needed it.
It all depends on how many jobs were on at a certain time, the more the busier. However in the quiter times you still have to reach targets and I created my own work load.
I covered all the aspects of the initial job description and more, i felt that the responsibility i had was enough to make me feel valued and never like I was different to a colleague. I never had to complete a project with someone watching over my shoulder.
Not really relevant to the retail aspect but totally relevant to business and management. Either way, i developed so much confidence and knowledge of all types of workplace and recruitment that i will be able to relate it to any job i might have or university course.
The Company
Everyone got on well and the atmosphere was very encouraging.
We had regular meetings to track progress and i was in regular contact with the other placement students to talk about how we were doing. They helped me with any questions i might have regarding the placement or university.
There were many training courses at the beginning and regular 'top up' courses in the middle of the placement. I got nearly as much training as full consultants, even if we did not conduct all aspects that we learnt in our training, we knew what the other consultants we doing because of it.

Very much depending on the current economic climate!
The Culture
We all got on well and it was a support when the work was challenging to have other similar people in the same position.
Not too cheap in the city but there are certain places to go over others.
Full of city workers and plenty of places open.
A few sports teams but not advertised very much.
