A core role as a Sales Support Intern will be running the forecasting process within your team to track quarterly opportunities. You will have the chance to join customer calls and take part in account projects.

You will gain industry specific knowledge around products, industry trends and the current IT infrastructure implemented by a range of companies. The hard skills you will develop will be advanced used of Excel, exposure to Power BI and an understanding of sales tools such as Salesforce. You will also develop presentational skills.
Responsibilities
You are given a large amount of responsibility in this role, your tasks and the opportunities you are given have a big impact on the wider business and the function of the team. Everyone at HPE is open to either help you or provider you with opportunities to get involved with projects or deals. From personal experience you are considered as a normal employee of HPE rather than just an intern.
Support & Guidance
Myself and my line manager have regular calls where I can feedback and he can provide advice and help. My team as whole has been so supportive, I know that if I need guidance any one of them would be happy to help. There is a intern supportive community where we all help each other. You will have the chance to have multiple mentors. HPE provides all the support you need and I have never felt that I can access it.
Culture
There are a range of intern based socials so you are able to meet others. Along side this there are company wide events, as well as opportunities to get involved in social activities. Within my team we have regular social calls, drinks on a Friday and they have organised team bonding activities. HPEs culture makes the work place inviting and everyone is so open and friendly. There are a wide range of charity events to get involved in.
Your Impressions
HPE adapted quickly with the on going pandemic to ensure myself as an intern had everything I needed. It has been a pleasure working with my team and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I have been given so many opportunities and the placement has exceeded my expectations. HPEs culture creates the kind of work place I would love to work in the future.
