Overview
General day-to-day support to the marketing team providing admin support: Ad-hoc admin support for the Marketing Director Support hardlines marketing promotions, campaigns, events and reporting Liaise with other internal departments in order to support marketing planning and campaign execution Support with PR events and product launches Liaise with other lines of business where needed Source product for competition prizes for activations Manage all marketing team purchase order (PO) requests
Skills
New skills learnt: work place etiquette process of carrying out a marketing campaign for a global business use of softwares: Khoros, SAP, Adobe Analytics, SPICE and Salesforce Developed Skills: Excel working under pressure communication skills prioritisation and organisation accuracy of work with time restriction
Responsibilities
As the placement progressed and I proved my reliability alongside the development of my skills I was assigned more responsibility. I liked how this happened, as I was given more responsibility when my confidence grew.
Support & Guidance
I was given a lot of support and guidance, not only from my line manager and team but the company as a whole. I never felt uncomfortable to ask for help or support as I knew team members will help me without any issues
Culture
The company culture/ general atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. Even though there are so many Lines of Business you get to work with a lot of people and everyone is friendly.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement considering it was done completely online. It was nice to feel like a team member instead of the intern.
Yes
Make sure to really highlight your soft skills alongside your experience and education. Your cover letter is such a crucial part of your application. Put thought into it and really think why you want to work at Disney - think outside the box, specify a franchise your are most passionate about etc.
