Overview
I work as a product developer in the tea section of Unilever. I develop new black/green tea blends as well as developing existing blends to meet a brief.
Skills
I have developed my organisational skills, organising tea tastings. I have also built stronger networking skills and am able to reach out to people in my team and the business for help. New skills include how to carry out a safety audit, access product specifications, and product development.
Responsibilities
At first I was not but this is understandable as I was knew to the business. As I progressed I found I was given responsibility, running my own project and organising team tastings.
Support & Guidance
I received lots of support from my line manager. The company as a whole are also very focused on employee wellbeing which is very refreshing and reassuring.

Your Impressions
I really enjoyed gaining an insight into the F&R industry in a role I want to pursue in the future. It was also great to gain exposure to such household brands such as Lipton and PG Tips.
