Overview
My Role includes ensuring that our Virtual Machines are operational and function without any issues. To ensure our cataloguing of available templates is up to date, and to remove duplicates when required.
Skills
I've learnt many from Cybersecurity skills to networking and Linux, as well as a handful of soft skills such as communication with clients and managers, being self-sufficent and self-motivated
Responsibilities
Yes - I was involved with many live sales opportunities, and after the first few months I was the sole member of my team engaged in many.
Support & Guidance
As someone independant I didn't require much, however my Managers were great at supporting me when I required it, and giving me the time I need when I need it
Culture
Having to work remotely I was initially very concerned how it would be, however my team were incredibly welcoming and I soon felt an important part of my team, and the wider atmosphere within IBM has been incredible - I've reached out to so many people for help and advice and everyone has always spent the time to explain things to me.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed it, and am slightly disappointed I can't do a second internship...
Yes
Take time to show how commited you are - the application form is long, but it was definitely worth the time spent.
