Overview
Explored leads from across the business, pitching them as exciting news to global trade and consumer journalists. Managed the press office inbox and informed senior leaders on external Unilever coverage through daily news clippings. Assisted in media briefings for interviews, research of invited media opportunities, and coverage reporting on financial results days. In my 2nd role I assisted the consultation of brands in how they can penetrate their environmental agenda to consumers.

Responsibilities
In both roles, I felt an element of responsibility thanks to my line managers making sure I had work to do. This meant I have felt I made a valuable contribution during my placement.

Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement very much overall, however would have preferred to have spent the placement mostly in communications as oppose to sustainability. Nevertheless, it has been enjoyable to spend a year in a company of Unilever's size and reputation and meet many amazing people.
