Overview
Primarily supporting the Business Transformation manager through process visualisation, competitor research and working towards the enhancement of the customer journey across several platforms.
Skills
I've enhanced my project management, presentation, excel and market research skills. I've learned some HTML and Power BI
Responsibilities
I was given the chance to be central to projects and lead the use of new tools to upskill others. Was allowed the time to grow into the role before taking on larger responsibilities
Support & Guidance
My managers were always looking for the best ways to push my learning forward and help my development. Were open to any questions, supportive of the use of digital learnings and willing to help with any upskilling they were capable of teaching themselves
Culture
Really nice people throughout the company. People understood you were an intern and showed patience for grow into the role and if there were any questions everyone was very supportive whenever they could be. A lot of opportunity to try new things but with a big company there are times where people are hard to track down or processes make things complicated to get done.
Your Impressions
I thought it was a really good experience. Covid limited some of the opportunities that past/future interns had/will have but there are a lot of really great at the company and some really engaging challenges during the internship that provide opportunities for growth
Yes
Try to learn more about the roles you're interested in from former interns as they can be quite different from where you were expecting to end up from your initial application. Then if things do go well and you have the job try to be active, I had limitations because of the pandemic but try to get involved in things earlier and settle on what interests you.
