My communication skills have significantly improved. The diverse culture at L'Oreal has helped me built my cross-cultural communication. I have also seen development in my organisational and planning skills. Overall this placement has made me more confident to thrive in a workplace environment.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given responsibility throughout my placement.
Support & Guidance
We had a handover week and I was set up for a 4- week onboarding by my manager which really helped me to get acquitted with L'Oreal's working culture and my colleagues.
Culture
The company culture at L'Oreal is Open-minded. You truly get to be your own self and you are valued for your authenticity. I feel grateful to have gotten the opportunity to do my internship in such a positive work environment. Since L'Oreal operates in a fast-paced industry there is no shying away from the fact that it can get intense sometimes, but this has helped me realise how much potential and work I can take on.
Your Impressions
This internship has definitely helped me understand the different streams in HR and I had the opportunity to connect with so many individuals who have inspired me and truly broadened my mind. However, I personally feel that I could be given more responsibility and task but overall I am satisfied with my placement experience.

-Be yourself: L'Oreal truly values authenticity. -Show the company what they want to see: Research about your role and company and try to demonstrate your past experiences through that. -Confidence: I remember feeling the nerves during my assessment centre but remember you're being accessed throughout the assessment centre. Finally, it can get overwhelming, but ride the storm and remember it is all happening for your own development & growth.
