Overview
Each day provided different insights into life at DLA Piper with different presenters talking roughly every hour. Our days were broken up by frequent brakes.
Skills
Definitely! Communication with my fellow interns through games and exercises was certainly a development of my communication skills. timekeeping and organisational skills were improved through the tasks assigned to us as a group. Keeping to a deadline and presenting coherent work was essential.
Responsibilities
We were! We were given responsibility to mainly present a case to a pretend client. For this, we were completely on our own and so responsibility to complete this task was certainly there.
Support & Guidance
If we wanted to ask questions, there was ample opportunity. All the staff we met encouraged us to email them after the seminars incase we had any further questions. We were never left unsure of what to do.
Culture
10/10. Culturally I believe this firm has the best out of all the firms I have been in contact with. I have always left each call with a smile on my face.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it very much. Each day was filled with exciting sessions which were insightful and engaging, keeping my interest.
