    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Day-to-day I spend most of my time helping Account executives and sales managers to: pull reports, maintain deal hygiene, run customer workshops, produce quarterly totalisers for the team motivation, populate prospective customer contact lists, write out emails and Linkedin emails for target customers, organise quarterly team meetings, and any other ad-hoc tasks the team have for me to help them.

  • I have developed my soft skills, in presenting, networking and in communicating with a greater variety of people. I have also developed my Excel and powerpoint skills, prioritisation and organisation of tasks, Demand generation and outreach, I have also developed my knowledge of the process of a sales cycle and also my general commercial awareness and business acumen.

  • I was given a lot of responsibility this year after pursuing opportunities to have some responsibility, I found once I reached out to people for experiences and new challenges a lot of my team were happy to oblige.

  • I have really enjoyed my placement overall despite being onboarded remotely and having limited time in the office - I have done interesting work, met a network of fantastic people and now have a far greater understanding of my future career plans

  • I would say to reach out to as many people as possible and offer your help so that you can get the broadest variety of experiences possible. I'd also say to get involved in 1-2-1s with interesting people as those conversations have been some of the most insightful of my time here.
