Overview
I worked in the UK Product team which involved high levels of project management, implementing change within the fund ranges. This involved running meetings, obtaining approvals and implementing changes.
Skills
Communication skills have been enhanced, alongside my ability to work more efficiently by bringing together relevant teams and their skillsets.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was able to present to committees/boards, run meetings and be responsible for my own projects.
Support & Guidance
I had high levels of support and guidance, from HR to my line manager. I would have daily calls with my team where support was always offered and HR would also follow up intermittently alongside always being available.
Culture
Considering the majority of my placement was virtual I felt welcomed and it was easy to reach out to individuals I hadn't previously worked with. On arrival in the office the atmosphere matched this.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement and would happily return to this culture in my future career.
