    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Mt role consisted of helping the Franchise Manager, aiding bits of research and larger projects that correlate with the Toyota's Centres throughout the Network. I was in charge of digital projects regarding the tech throughout the Centre's and making sure they're up and running - especially with the start up after COVID restrictions were lifted.

  • I have developed a lot through my knowledge of the business itself and what is expected in an office environment, as well as core skills I can carry on to any career I have in the future surrounding; time management and organisation, project management, Women in the Workplace (and the Imposter Syndrome) as well as developing team engagement and having the confidence to handle problems I may face.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • A placement with Toyota isn't just; you're a student, instead the team and your managers dedicate so much time and effort into sculpting you so you can take on bigger projects lead by you with help provided as and when you need it. They put a lot of work and trust into you so you can truly develop and hone your skills.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Due to COVID I didn't get to experience much of the normal office life but just through talking to people throughout the business you can see the company culture is supportive and the atmosphere is fun.

  • Just have fun when you apply. The assessment Centre was a fun experience surrounded by likeminded students - don't put too much pressure on yourself and just answer questions honestly - you have a lot more selling points than you think.
