Overview
On a day to day basis I would be involved in the full sales cycle. Supporting Account Executives on numerous deals/accounts from deal initial ideation, to customer calls and scoping calls all the way to contract signature, winning the deal and thus assigning consultants. Acted as Bid Manager for some accounts. Demand generation for net new customers and dormant customers. Marketing of industry events. Participated in global Pilots for process automation.

Responsibilities
Yes! I acted a Bid Manager for LARGE deals for a global Consumer Products company up to £12m. As an intern co-hort we were given tasks to investigate accounts and see where SAP could help improve the company and our ideas were taken to senior leadership. Got to run customer meetings, Lead sales cycle entirely on smaller deals. Some interns are given higher levels of responsibility such as being a part of the 'One Billion lives' campaigns or simply an Ambassador for the interns.
Support & Guidance
A lot. Whether this be for CV help or writing an essay for university or if I was struggling with a daily work process. People across the organisation are always willing to help, and often people within the organisation across the other side of the world will always help too! We were also offered at numerous occasions support for mental wellbeing etc. We were also offered a lot of networking events which provided an awful lot of guidance for the future.
Culture
The intern community becomes a family, we all lean on each other and everyone is always so keen to help. The company always wants to see you succeed, you always feel like people are wanting the best for you and your colleagues are always seeing how they can help you move on to the next level or set up your career for the future. Everyone is always so approachable and keen to help - walking around the office, there will always be a new face but people will always introduce themselves.
Your Impressions
Thoroughly enjoyed it and gutted to be leaving. Even though my placement was throughout the pandemic and I only got a few months in the office, it was still an incredible experience, I wouldn't say my opportunities have been limited at all. I would definitely recommend an SAP internship to anyone! It is a chance to experience the 'real world' and find a future career/career path, even if SAP isn't the company for you in the future, you can get to know SAP partners too!
Yes
SAP are interested in you, an what you have to offer. If you have any unique experiences definitely draw on them as a talking point. Your professional skills can be built and developed on once here. Don't give up! There are numerous internship opportunities here under different LoBs so apply for numerous areas and utilise the 30/70% split to experience other areas, Never say no to an opportunity.
