Overview
The role consisted of working on backend systems, using C and Java. I would also carry out a lot of testing work using the Robot Framework
Skills
I have learnt many new skills. C was new to me when I started and i was able to apply the agile practices I had studied at university
Responsibilities
Yes. I was not treated like an intern and would be assigned tasks similar to the rest of my team
Support & Guidance
My team were fantastic and were always ready to help me with anything I needed
Culture
As we were working from home, I did not get a full idea of the company culture and atmosphere, but the one created virtually was still one I really enjoyed. Everyone was always ready to help one another and it was a great place to be
Your Impressions
I enjoyed every minute of my placement. There was always something new and interesting to learn and I felt the work I put into it paid off well
Yes
Dont be afraid to get stuck in with the more complicated stuff. Ask for help whenever you need it and try to enjoy the process as youre learning.
