    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My job role is the CPA Operations Manager in Southbank. This means was working to make sure the team is organised, everyone has access to the right information and I am able to help anyone that requires an extra hand. In my role, my responsibilities include, assisting, support the practice and the clients, ensuring everything runs smoothly and is hitting our targets, working closely with some clients, supporting governance and best practice. Also, creating a weekly operations pack for the CPA Practice and keeping the CPA UKI distribution list and UKI and Europe CPA box folders up to date and much more.

  • I have learned a lot of new skills such as coding, video making and editing and more. I have also developed my other skills such as Leadership, Teamwork, Adaptability, Resilience and Communication

  • I was given a lot of responsibility managing my team of over 30 people and also getting to work with clients and client teams.

  • I received a lot of support throughout my year from my Foundation Manager, Task Manager, team and support from other interns whenever I needed it.

  • The culture and atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. Also, a very diverse and inclusive environment and an overall great place to work.

  • I really enjoyed my internship. The work I was doing was interesting, the team was very friendly and supportive to work with. The culture in the team and company were very nice. I would definitely consider going back to IBM for a graduate scheme after university.
