Overview
Daily I check the emails of four different inboxes that I manage, including my personal one. I assist different areas within my Team, and within this I coordinate comms, and troubleshoot any issues from customers.
Skills
I have developed and learning various skills during my placement, these include: • Teamwork and leadership abilities • Ability to work under pressure • Desire to learn and work hard • Verbal communication • Customer awareness and social skills • Time management • Data analytics and analytical reasoning • Problem-solving • Entrepreneurial spirit
Responsibilities
Yes I was, the role was my own and I was able to grow and try different things within the company. I felt like a part of the Team and I was given full responsibility with every task that I had.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and helped from my manager, Team, wider Teams, interns and HR. There were many avenues for support and advice during the placement, and I knew where to go if I ever needed help with something.
Culture
The company focus a lot on values and this is really aligned within the work completed, and in everyone's attitudes. There is a strong work culture which is very important. Employees are set to achieve goals, but the general atmosphere is fun and exciting which makes it a great place to work.
Your Impressions
I loved working at Intel for the short amount of time I was there. It's been great learning about the industry and achieving real work experience. I have learnt extensive amounts within my role and it has been a pleasure working with some a wonderful team. Especially working virtually this whole time I didn't know what to expect, but it has been a smooth process throughout.
Yes
My advice is to be yourself and let your personality shine through. Take every opportunity you can and really make the most of it. Don't be afraid to be fearless and think outside the box. Preparation is key so ensure that you plan interview questions/answers and research the company. Be friendly and ask lots of questions!
