Overview
Working in a store, driving sales and achieving KPIs as well as working on projects that impact the wider business.
Skills
My leadership, communication and team working skills have all been developed through testing them in various business scenarios.
Responsibilities
A high amount of responsibility including running stores, opening and closing, managing a safe, and leading a team of 30.
Support & Guidance
Aldi provided a mentor who helps development, feeding back to help you improve. The other managers at the company also dedicate their time to developing your understanding and skills.
Culture
The culture is fast-paced and at times stressful, but this helps develop a strong culture and team working environment. The individual members of the team are always willing to help and support each other and you.
Your Impressions
The placement was the best academic and professional decision I’ve ever made. The development I can see in myself is invaluable, both professionally and as a person.
Yes
Be prepared to work hard but the rewards are easy to notice and provide a sense of accomplishment.
