Overview
I was able to gain hands-on experience with project work as well shadowing my mentor in her meetings. I also attended various webinars on the peoples networks and mental health support at PwC.
Skills
I have hugely developed my communication skills, since I met so many new people on the program and had to practice introducing myself and leading conversations. I also improved my time management skills, since I had to manage my meeting schedule and work schedule myself.
Business Insight
It was amazing to learn about the variety of roles that were available to management consultants. I was surprised by how diverse the area of consulting can be and how flexible PwC is in allowing its employees to experience that diversity.
Culture
The atmosphere was very comfortable and there was a general culture of constant development and learning. It was impressive to see how people in more senior roles of the firm were still learning: both from the people around them and the clients.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the insight. Everyone was much more supportive and welcoming than I thought and I learned so many new skills and knowledge.
Yes
Always raise your hand and be open to new opportunities! I learned the most when I stepped out of my comfort zone. Likewise, don't hesitate to apply even if you think it is a stretch for you.
