Overview
Each day involved attending meetings with women involved in different areas of the digital audit department at PwC UK, at various different offices (because it was virtual). I could ask questions and get to know their roles better. There was at least one meeting to shadow per day, as well as interactive workshops/D&I/mental health sessions.
Skills
I learnt some basic use of the Alteryx software that the DA3 team, within the digital audit department, uses. I developed existing skills in active listening and being proactive in contacting the people I met after a session to ask further questions, etc.
Business Insight
I gained lots of insight into the different pathways into digital audit at PwC, which is key information to know going forward in terms of any future applications. The information was presented well and being able to meet and chat to associates/managers/directors, plus sitting in on meetings and observing how they work together, also showed a lot about PwC's culture.
Culture
Genuine focus on mental health, observed from sessions that were put on officially as well as throwaway mentions of tough mental health topics during general conversations with staff. Friendly atmosphere.
Your Impressions
Very much! I went into this programme wanting to gain information and exposure to the firm, and I am taking that away with me now.
Yes
Be confident in yourself, don't pretend you're someone you're not because they'll sniff that out in interviews.
