Overview
The insight program was an opportunity to discover about your chosen line of service. There was chance to shadow a member of the team, to participate in team meeting and also get access to PwC's internal system. There was also chance to network and meet people from both PwC and fellow participants.
Skills
Yes, I think one skill that I have developed is definitely confidence. The confidence to chat to people that are older than me, people who have a wealth of experience already. Also one skill that I have developed is to be proactive, be reaching out to people for meetings and chatting to people from different service line is definitely very helpful. It expanded my knowledge and allowed me to consider about my future career.
Business Insight
There is opportunity and everybody is just so friendly but I think you definitely have to be proactive about it, reaching out to people to have a chat to discover more about business area that is not your chosen line of service. The more you understand about PwC, the more you can feel like PwC is a place where people genuinely feels happy to be in.
Culture
Company culture is brilliant at PwC, even though the program was done online, but from conversations you have, whatever the service line, whatever the rank, everybody is liking the business and the team that they are in. Everybody is just so nice as well, very willing to chat and help when you have any questions to ask. I had been in a few meetings and loved the atmosphere, it was very relaxed but also people do get work done as well.
Your Impressions
To a large extent, because it was a program that I had learnt a lot and felt valued.
Yes
Put in the time and effort, because it is worth it, whether that is the program itself or the opportunities PwC offers after the program. It is a long process, but be patient with it. Also be yourself, everyone at the assessment centre is just so helpful and nice, so don't worry!
