    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • There were brief sessions with each of the sub-divisions within technology such as cyber, engineering, financial modelling etc on the first day, along with an introduction to a case study and time to work on a presentation in teams. The second day was a chance for a more in-death look at some departments and the opportunity to speak to graduates in smaller groups to ask questions and learn more about KPMG. There was also a presentation given on day two to a member of the business. On the third day all participants took part in the virtual launch pad to potentially secure a place on the following years summer internship program. This consisted of a group discussion around a case study, a reflection exercise on this, and an interview with a senior member of the technology division.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I developed my team working and presentation skills, through the case study. We also had a session on interview skills in preparation for the virtual launch pad. There was also an introduction to python coding session during the break of the virtual launch pad which was very interesting.
