Overview
Work on multiple projects, Daily meetings with other engineers both on and off site, 3D modelling using SolidWorks, General tasks relating to engineering such as testing and assisting in manufacturing
Skills
Many soft-skills were developed - especially team work and cooperation due to the friendly and helpful environment. Working with different departments allow new skills to be learnt that aren't directly linked to engineering but will help with personal development. Also advanced knowledge on different programs such as SolidWorks and SAP (ERP).
Responsibilities
The company treat you like an adult and expect and trust you to set about tasks in your own way. That being said, help is always there to those who ask for it. Asking questions is actively encouraged as sometimes it will teach others something new also.
Support & Guidance
Lots of guidance was given, daily meetings with others helped to become integrated within the team. My manager was always on hand to offer help or to answer any questions I had.
Culture
Excellent, enjoyable and extremely friendly! Everyone act like a family and from the first day you feel welcomed and relaxed.
Your Impressions
I will be sad to leave but I know that I will always be welcomed back if I decide to return.
