Overview
I shadowed meeting and completed tasks given to me by members of the team. I got exposure to all areas of tax. I would have one-to-one meetings and sit in on bigger group meetings. Everything was done virtually.
Skills
Time management is a big skill that I think i have enhanced. I have also improved my IT skills and writing skills. Working with new people can be daunting but I feel more comfortable now
Responsibilities
I was responsible for certain tasks by myself but there were always people available to ask for help if required
Support & Guidance
My buddy and career coach were very helpful. I never felt stuck or alone. Everyone was very approachable and friendly. All happy to take some time to meet with you to help you or just talk about their role within the firm
Culture
Everyone works well in a team and supports each other. Very nice culture and environment
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it and wish it was longer than 3 weeks. I understand it was shorter due to covid
Yes
An internship is invaluable to being offered a grad job. The hardest part I found were the AI interview questions whereas the assessment day was a lot of fun.
