Overview
After a week-long induction, with introductions to the firm and my specific line of service, I was assigned to a client project that I worked on for half of my internship. I also participated in a Dragons Den internship project, involving research and a presentation regarding a social enterprise.
Skills
I have developed my excel and powerpoint skills. I have learnt about new software/programmes used regularly within the industry.
Responsibilities
Yes, I worked on a live client project during my internship. Working on tasks for internal firm use, as well as tasks to be delivered/used by the client.
Support & Guidance
I received lots of support throughout my internship. I had a buddy (a senior associate) and a career coach (a manager) to regularly talk to for advice and guidance throughout. The recruitment team were also very helpful.
Culture
Everyone was really friendly and willing to help and explain things, no matter their grade.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship. Despite being completely virtual due to COVID, I still got a great feel for the firm and the people that work there.
