Overview
Placement students at TPP get the opportunity to work alongside all departments, gaining experience in areas such as recruitment, marketing and HR. Responsibilities include: • General office administration • Managing supplier accounts • Planning company events • Supporting the marketing team • Supporting the recruitment team • Booking travel and accommodation • Managing company merchandise • Dealing with invoices
Skills
The placement year at TPP is very broad, allowing you to gain experience in different departments, from HR to recruitment. Taking on different responsibility has enabled me to display my current skills as well as embrace the challenge of learning something new. I have developed skills such as organisation, time management and resilience.
Responsibilities
Throughout my placement at TPP I was given a lot of responsibility. I really enjoyed playing an active role within the company and feeling as though I was a valued and trusted member of the team.
Support & Guidance
At TPP there is a big emphasis on team work and helping others. At the start of my placement there was a 3 week handover with previous year outs where you get 1-2-1 guidance and help. Throughout my placement my colleagues were always happy to offer help and feedback.
Culture
There are plently of opportunities to be social at TPP. I worked at TPP during COVID-19 and there were still lots of virtual activites, including cooking and yoga, offered throughout the pandemic. This was really nice as it enabled me to get to know my colleagues outside of the working environment.
Your Impressions
I have really enjoyed my placement year with TPP and feel as though I have been able to apply existing skills as well as learn new skills in a dynamic working environment. Throughout the year I have been able to challenge myself professionally and personally and have gained transferrable skills for my last year of University and future career.
