Digital Marketing Assistant Review

I co-ordinate updates on the national website, working with a number of stakeholders to ensure that the most up to date information is on the website ready for customers to use in their purchasing journeys. I work with a number of stakeholders, developing content briefs that they use to update the website. I also regularly audit the website for outdated content and provide insight into what content is working well.

I have learnt a number of new skills whilst working in the team. I have developed my auditing skills, looking for outdated or incorrect information. I have also learnt about content briefing and how to apply this to the tone of voice and brand guidelines we have. I have also had the chance to undertake an SEO course allowing me to have a greater insight into its importance and role in digital marketing.

I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement and had the opportunity to take ownership of projects. This was very beneficial to me as I was able to input my work into the business and make a difference to a number of stakeholders which was very fulfilling. I also had the autonomy to run key business meetings and answer queries which I feel has been a great responsibility to have.

I have been give lots of support and guidance throughout my placement. I feel comfortable reaching out to my manager and others to ask questions and support when I need it. I have also been able to reach out support for my wellbeing through the lockdowns and know who to contact when I need additional help.

The company culture is so inclusive, everyone is respected and opinions valued. I have been able to enjoy working with a number of different people who have all been good to work with. There is a strong push towards personal development which has allowed me to gain in confidence and skills.

I hugely enjoyed my placement. I had many opportunities to work on various projects that have been very varied. I have also been able to meet and work with a number of different people from across the business. I've worked in a very dynamic and fast paced team and have enjoyed the relationships that I gave formed with my team.
