Overview
2 week virtual internship involving key note speakers, service-line panels, mentor/buddy guidance and case study working with a team (culminating in a final presentation).
Skills
Developed my presentation skills. Learnt more about risks to the auditing process eg. inherent and fraud risks.
Business Insight
Very insightful, particularly in terms of EY's culture and day-day life working at EY.
Culture
Peers, organisers, and speakers/mentors were all so friendly and approachable. Clear that EY practices what they preach in terms of the 'people culture'.
Your Impressions
The experience far exceeded my expectations. Though virtual there was plenty of opportunity to bond and network with other interns through the daily case study work. There was a wide variety of panels and speaker, from Diversity and Inclusion to Service-line specific to Personal Development workshops, which were very insightful.
Yes
Practice numerical skills and prep basic interview questions beforehand. Most importantly be honest and yourself, EY values a diverse range of people and pretending to be someone you are not won't bode well.
