    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the virtual experience and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The virtual experience was overall very rewarding and insightful; it managed to convey a deeper insight into what the culture and working life was like in EY. On a day-to-day basis, our usual schedule involved virtual sessions such as panel Q and A sessions, keynote speeches, learning sessions, and case study working. Over the 2 weeks, we worked on a case study which would end with a final presentation which we would present to our mentor.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I did develop a range of soft skills from these virtual sessions. These included emotional intelligence, business etiquette, presentation skills, and resilience. I also learnt much more about what consulting entails in reality and more about the consulting thought process. When working on our case study, I did improve skills such as time management, research, presentation, and teamwork skills. It was important for me to contribute to the presentation in the best way I could.
