Overview
The internship mostly consisted on activities rather than real work itself. It was all virtual however this may not be true in future years. It was normally 10-4 and there would be 2-3 sessions each morning and afternoon. Sessions could consist of talks, activities, and there was a case study we worked on in groups which ran for most of the internship.
Skills
We completed a case study, and this was good for developing team working skills. The actual time we were given for it was quite limited, and a system error meant we had to change groups half way through, makaing matters worse. There were also sessions and talks on things like teamwork and business etiquette.
Business Insight
There were some good sessions which really laid out how the firm worked and it's structure. In a normal year with a full 6 week internship it would give you a really good understanding of how things work with real client meetings and things. For our virtual experience we did not get this.
Culture
Culture was extremely good. All the interns were great to work with and the staff were excecllent. The people running everything were very professional and helpful. The partners and people giving talks were all extremely good at answering questions and this was definitely a clear highlight for the internship overall.
Your Impressions
It was fine. There were some very interesting activities but some of it was really strange or odd. There were guided medetation sessions which may be nice for some people but I just couldn't enjoy. I think one of the best parts was being able to openly just talk to mentors or partners and ask some questions

PRACTICE YOUR VIDEO INTERVIEWS. They are extremely important when applying for just about any placement anywhere at the moment. You should spend a good few hours just talking into a camera and getting used to it. Pro tip: try standing up while you deliver it. It can really help with confidence
