Overview
There were sessions on personal development, insight into Audit, and insight into the culture of BDO. We were also split into groups for a group task and had an interview with a partner at the end of week. The week was very well structured and we had loads of breaks between sessions
Skills
I have learnt a lot about auditing and what it take to be a good auditor. We did 2 courses of personal development and branding which were really useful as well.
Business Insight
It was really insightful to speak to wide range of employees. Everyone was always available for questions and help and we had overviews about professional qualifications and auditing. This gave a good base understanding of what it would be like to join the company and start on the role. I am sure there is loads more to learn but the overview was perfect for a new starter
Culture
Everyone was exceptionally welcoming and always around for questions. I had trouble accessing some slides and they immediately reached out and told me how i could fix the problem. I never felt that they found the questions annoying or didn't want to answer them. Everyone felt genuinely happy to help and see us do well
Your Impressions
I think the insight week was very valuable in helping solidify my decision to want to work in audit so it did the job in that regard. I liked the company before applying and after the week I like it even more. Again, the people I met were really nice and fun!
Yes
Be yourself because the company values that. Research the company well and show interest by asking questions. Also, don't apply if you don't think it is right for you! Company fit matters a lot.
