Overview
I worked within the Service Delivery Team on the ESR Account. I was responsible for providing support to all managers across the whole team. I worked with the Service Monitoring Team to analyse statistics daily regarding the performance of the service. I had was the responsibility for raising and analysing problem records. On a weekly basis I would run the internal meetings to review these problem records and I independently ran the client meeting.
Skills
I had had the opportunity to develop my technical skills considerably. I have had the opportunity to learn about areas outside of my current daily role by completing various badges. For example: Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner, Enterprise Design Thinking – Team Essentials for AI, Agile Explorer Badge, Watson and Cloud Foundations, and Cloud Essentials Badge.
Responsibilities
Yes - I was a crucial member of the problem management team which meant I worked with the client on a regular basis. I saw this experience as a good opportunity to highlight and meet the IBM client’s requirements whilst gaining their respect. The client relationship has improved and has enhanced time efficiency within the Problem Management Team
Support & Guidance
I was given as much support and guidance as I needed from my Task Manager and Foundation Manager. Plus all of my fellow interns and every member of the IBM community I have networked with - everyone is very open to support me.
Culture
Although I was unable to go into the office the online community at IBM is incredible. Every IBMer is very open to connecting especially if you are interested in learning more about the different areas at IBM.
