Overview
Starts with going through the daily regulatory update to keep update of new regulatory issues on the horizon for the bank. Early morning meeting with my line manager to catch up and set tasks for the day and then spend the day doing the tasks with a few networking calls in between.
Skills
Developed a lot of soft skills about how to work in an organisation, e.g. how to communicate with colleagues. Learnt how to make a presentation and how to do horizon scanning.
Responsibilities
Yes I was. A lot of the work I did had real impacts in the way the team worked.
Support & Guidance
My line manager gave me a lot of support. I was able to ask a lot of questions and get a lot of guidance.
Culture
It was quite healthy. There was no expectations to do unreasonable hours of work. Focused a lot on wellbeing.
Your Impressions
Enjoyed it a lot. Got to learn a lot and meet lots of new people.
Yes
It is not a very highly paid position but there is a lot to learn so identify what your priorities and needs are. It is a great place to work, but every place has its pros and cons.
