Overview
The day-to-day work was usually related to reporting, data or presentations. On top of this there were usually ad hoc tasks from my manager that differed greatly in difficulty and length.
Skills
I have definitely developed skills relating to how to work in a large company as well as time management. Apart from this I have also had many opportunities to learn more about the offerings of the tech industry like AI, cybersecurity and cloud.
Responsibilities
I was definitely given a lot of responsibility over tasks very early on, but as my placement was conducted virtually due to the pandemic there are likely other opportunities that I was not able to take part in.
Support & Guidance
I have received a lot of support during my placement from my whole team, but especially from my manager.
Culture
Everyone I met was very friendly and supportive. Additionally, people were quick to trust me and give me opportunities to take responsibility.
Your Impressions
I did enjoy working this year especially because of my team, but again due to the pandemic there was some difficulty in truly enjoying every day.

Be yourself and make it clear you are willing to learn and take on a range of opportunities like giveback and showing interest in the company offerings.
