Responsibilities
Lots of responsibility, within the first 2 weeks I was presenting my findings to the Rolls-Royce board. Left to work out problems on my own with knowledge that there were people around to aid me if I needed. Allowed to work flexibly from home.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support. Always had three access points for help and guidance. I had a brilliant placement buddy who made sure I was always busy, networking, and getting the most out of my experience daily. Being able to work problems out for myself was great because I was able to develop some skills on my own.
Culture
Really friendly, everyone had time to help me. Nice environment to work in and great team. Lots of out of office team activities which relaxed me back at work.
Your Impressions
I love my placement, I love the environment that I work in and my team. I am never short of work to do, I am able to work at a fast pace with continued support throughout. I am tasked with jobs that will actually 'make a difference' in the company which makes me feel included within Rolls-Royce. I would love to do a graduate scheme when I finish.
Yes
Be confident in your abilities and be willing to learn. That is more important than knowledge! Make sure that you know and understand the company's values and morals so that you can see whether or not the company is a good suit for you as well.
