Overview
Getting involved in the day to day workings of the bank. Taking part in placement two days of the week with the rest being focused on self development and working in groups of interns on a business project and CSR project
Skills
Yes, there have been several workshops working on different leadership skills etc. Some can be repetitive but helpful all the same
Responsibilities
Not much, within the placement some interns are given lots of responsibility but i believe it is down to the team that you are placed within.
Support & Guidance
A lot of support from early careers and the buddy system that is in place means that you always have someone to turn to.
Culture
Positive and friendly. Everyone is willing to help the interns and a lot seem keen to hear what ne ideas they have
Your Impressions
I have enjoyed the placement so far. It's been really nice to work alongside my buddy and work in my intern teams on the different projects. I hoped that i would have more responsibility in my placement but have felt as though they are unsure what to do with me.
Yes
Make sure you fully understand the placement you are going into and be friendly to everyone within the bank.
