Overview
Acted as an intermediary between clients and the firm, trying to balance client needs with the ability to generate revenue. On a day-to-day as I was an intern I was involved in a lot of data optimisation projects as we move towards a more digitial era.
Skills
I learnt python while on the internship after I was challenged by one of my line managers to make a database he could use to understand client positions better.
Responsibilities
I was very grateful for the amount of responsibility I was given. I found as long as you were willing you could have a real impact on the firm.
Support & Guidance
I believe I received a more than adequate amount of support. Upon joining I was given a buddy and a mentor, not to mention everyone I interacted with was more than happy to help!
Culture
I can only say good things about the culture of the firm. It felt as if everyone at the firm was part of one big family. This was stressed may I add - we were told time and time again that one of the key strengths of the firm is its people.
Your Impressions
Overall, the placement was a great experience and in my eyes they get bonus points for providing such an inclusive environment while working from home due to the pandemic.
Yes
I cannot stress enough that they just want you to be yourself! Be you, be engaged and be enthusiastic.
