Overview
- Working to support key activities within the ES & iX Growth Platform Core Team - Understand how we position our offerings internally and externally - Updating and maintaining the upkeep of the internal microsite - Assisting with the objective and enablement of our offerings - Supporting client delivery within ES &iX - Taking the minutes for SLT meetings
Skills
I have developed both hard and soft skills at IBM. My presentation and organisation skills have improved massively by working on various projects and playing various slide decks back to IBM and their clients. I have also improved my knowledge in various business areas and adopted agile and design thinking practices through training and real life applications.
Responsibilities
I was given lots of responsibility and I could always seek new opportunities if I wanted them.
Support & Guidance
I was supported and guided throughout with multiple managers, mentors and peers to reach out to.
Culture
I loved the company culture, the inclusivity, innovation and strong drive to deliver exceptional results was extremely motivating and a culture I would love to return to.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement year. It would have been even better if it was not entirely virtual, but nevertheless I met some great people and achieved some great things. I would say IBM is a perfect place to grow and filled with extremely hard working individuals.

Do not limit yourself to what you know or be afraid of what you don't know. IBM provides great learning experiences and can open doors for you that you never knew existed.
