Overview
My role involves assisting the IDM team with the management of financial trades, ensuring they go through the various middleware the bank utilises and there are no breaks in the trade from execution to settlement. I also work on the analysis of how well the various Data streams are being used and I have a project which I am working on as well.
Skills
Yes. Learnt a lot about the financial markets. Developed my Excel skills.
Responsibilities
Some responsibility was given as my tasks involved assisting with BAU. Was responsible for managing my own project too. Was given a lot of flexibility about learning and networking opportunities during the internship.

Your Impressions
I enjoyed it as I learnt a lot. It was demanding at times, but it also had its more relaxed moments where I was given time to review and reflect. overall a good experience.
Yes
Demonstrate your value. Be open and approachable. And show your integrity. Don't feel like you have to know everything about finance before you apply as they will teach you a lot during the placement.
