Overview
Analysing the data my team hold to draw on meaningful insights and create new management reporting. So, I have had Excel and PowerBI upskilling. International Remote Working Case Management & Policy Review - helping manage the influx of IRW cases, I ensure all cases are accounted for, I communicate with colleagues, managers and People Team members – confirming receipt and output, send weekly updates and more. Annual Assignee Satisfaction Survey design & delivery - I engage with suppliers on vendor survey questions. I have reviewed and updated surveys sent to assignees. Helped create presentations for management to show the updated changes and more. I attend meetings, I shadow a different person in my team every week, attend the different upskilling sessions that my team go to and more!

Responsibilities
I have been given a LOT of responsibility during my internship. I have been given the opportunity to drive my experience and get involved in more projects. I have been given meaningful work that is actually impacting the business. My ideas and suggestions have been taken aboard, so it has been exciting to see how I am shaping the processes at such an early point in my career. I haven't been micro-managed, my team trust me to deliver and it has been an excellent experience.
Support & Guidance
Everyone is extremely supportive and willing to answer all of my questions and if they do not have the answer they will find someone who does. My Line Manager has been extremely supportive - I have weekly talks with her and this has been really useful for me. I have shadowed different members in my team and I am partnering with them on my projects and they are also very supportive of me and any queries/issues I have. I have had 2 mentors, who have been really supportive of my work/career development. Overall, the culture at Tesco is amazing - everyone is super nice and willing to help if you ask!
Culture
The company culture is excellent, touched on it above, but Tesco really is a place to get on. We have a wellbeing hour, we have the opportunity to attend mental health discussions, we have had the opportunity to get involved with D&I initiatives, we are raising money for charity alongside our internship. Tesco invests in its people and you can feel it even as an intern.
Your Impressions
I have enjoyed the work, my team, the company culture. I think the experience exceeded my expectations. I would 100% go back.
Yes
Apply early! Be yourself in the interviews. Do your research and come prepared, think about the struggles in the retail industry, the current innovations etc. Make sure you're commercially aware. Talk to people that work here to find out more about the culture - this can be a focal point in your applications.
