Overview
As a management consulting intern I joined two different projects throughout my internship, shadowing members of the team and supporting in various areas of the projects. I was given the opportunity to present, both to my project team and to the client, and worked across a number of business areas.
Skills
I developed skills using excel and my presenting skills as well as becoming more confident in interacting with clients. I also gained a greater understanding of what a consultant does.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given individual responsibility for certain tasks in my internship, including presenting to clients.
Support & Guidance
I received a great deal of support from project teams, and my assigned career coach and buddy through my internship.
Culture
The company culture was extremely welcoming, and prioritised care of the people working there. The atmosphere was very friendly, and provided a safe space to learn.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the internship, and am grateful that I was able to learn new skills, meet new people and discover more about consulting as an industry.
