Overview
I had 3 main projects - a corporate social responsibility project where we fundraised for charity in a team with other interns, a business project in a team where we came up with recommendations for improvement in a certain business area, and a placement project that was specific to me and the team i sat on.
Skills
The bank really allows you to drive your own programme, i would tell my line manager things i wanted to work on that week and we would devise ways of improving those skills and he would link me in with other people that could help.
Responsibilities
I was often asked for my thoughts and opinions and my placement work did seem valuable. i dont know whether this is true across the board, or whether i got lucky with my team.
Support & Guidance
So much support, it was amazing! I had a line manager and a grad buddy who were incredibly supportive, but every body i met on my placement would help me out and is always keen to put time in diary for advice.
Culture
The bank is purpose led and this definitely shows. They are super focussed on early careers and are really keen to help. You only have to work 9-5
