Overview
Working on competitor analysis. Meeting various stakeholders across wealth management and insurance. Writing strategic reports. Meeting with other interns to work on diversity & inclusion related tasks.
Skills
Both -- learned new Excel skills and developed existing presentation/communication skills.
Responsibilities
Yes, and I always felt that my input was valued by senior stakeholders.
Support & Guidance
A lot of guidance and support from various mentors. Mentor from the graduate scheme and an on-program manager.
Culture
People are very approachable at HSBC. I felt very valued as an intern and felt that the work I was doing was meaningful.
Your Impressions
Really enjoyed the internship experience. Felt it was extremely well structured, even given the fact that it was virtual. Lots of opportunities for personal development and a lot of social opportunities organised through Zoom.
