Overview
- The opportunity to participate in various workshops and development sessions - Working on group projects - Spending a few days a week in a specific placement that you will be assigned to - Meeting other interns in social events
Skills
Yes, I have especially developed my communication skills as throughout the internship I have expanded my network. Talking to a lot of people will increase confidence in meetings and talking to various other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Yes, my placement manager has given me a lot of responsibility and I was able to work week by week on my little project. It was encouraging, as it is not just an unnecessary task given to you because you are an intern, I was actually able to see the impact of it.
Support & Guidance
The support was great, be it HR or the placement manager. Everybody in the bank is extremely helpful and always enjoys having a catch up with interns.
Culture
Great company culture - Have never experienced anything like that. People are so helpful and nice. Wellbeing is a big part of the culture and is very valued by all employees and even we interns had the opportunity to participate in some wellbeing activities. NatWest really values your mental health especially during Covid and I really appreciated that.
Your Impressions
I would do it again and I could recommend it to everybody. NatWest Group is such as great place to work at with its people, culture and strategy.
Yes
Go for it - you will not regret it.
