Overview
As a summer intern, my role consisted of shadowing individuals in my team, completing work when asked, completing training courses online, asking questions in meetings, being on team huddles, calls with the client, taking minutes, preparing slides, working in excel, organising one-to-ones
Skills
Yes I have improved my google slides skills through 3 presentations that I wrote and presented to my teams, and I worked in google sheets, practising with dummy data, creating pivot tables, and cost breakdowns. I have also gained a lot more confidence when speaking to people (even those at a senior level)
Responsibilities
Yes, I prepared demo slides for a client meeting and I have prepared a report that will we taken to a senior management meeting
Support & Guidance
I think the support was there if you needed it, although perhaps I didn't use it enough to my advantage
Culture
Very friendly. Every was willing to help and answer my questions and queries even if they had a busy schedule. The culture seemed diverse and inclusive
Your Impressions
I loved it! I have learnt so much and the internship gave me a great understanding of how the company runs as a whole, as well as providing me with a great insight into which competency I'd like to specialise in
