Overview
40% of the time I was in placement in Digital Sales and Service where I analyzed the digital processes such as mortgage applications using a variety of tools and thought of ways to improve the customer experience. The rest of the time we had intern events such as key speakers from the bank as well as a business project and charity project to do.
Skills
Yes I have learnt new skills for new tools such as AEM, Adobe analytics, ContentSquare. I have learnt how to work in an agile manner as well as collaborate within and across department boundaries. I have developed my teamwork skills in the business and charity project.
Business Insight
Very transparent about potential opportunities and how things work with the graduate program and where you can go from there. They also put a lot of time in for us to hear from business speakers about the bank and where it is going and what it is working on.
Culture
Great friendly culture, everyone was willing to put in time to speak to you no matter their position. Everyone was very helpful and always offered their help and if you reached out to them they always got back to you in a timely manner.
Your Impressions
To a large extent.
Yes
Read about their purpose and if it resonates with you then apply and be yourself!! It is hard but try and find out about each business area as once you are on an internship, a grad offer will be in the same area.
