    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the virtual experience and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • Working with my team to complete placement project tasks. Involved in a CSR project to raise money for charity. Took part in many calls organised by early careers which gave a broad insight into the wider bank.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes. Developed my networking skills as the internship was virtual. Innovation - trying to come up with new ideas to raise money virtually. Presentation - early careers organised a development session where we were given the opportunity to do a 5 min presentation. I was provided feedback and this was a great way to develop my skills.

  • 8. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group
  • Be yourself! It's cliché but it's honestly so important. Learn more about the purpose of the company and how you would be able to contribute. Learn the critical people capabilities (there are 5) and have examples ready for each of them. This is a key point of discussion in the interview part of the assessment centre. Overall, just show your enthusiasm and passion for wanting to join the bank/the division. Good Luck!
