Overview
Commerical banking interns in GTRF [trade and receivables finance] do a range of tasks: -on the job learning about the products offered to clients -observing/preparing for/taking notes of client meets and calls -writing emails and creating spreadsheets -prospecting new clients we could bring into the bank

Responsibilities
-Responsibility to make sure my tasks e.g. writing summary emails are done on time -timely delivery of projects assigned to me by my manager -collating information on the team's weekly activity.
Support & Guidance
-lots of support available from graduates -my line manager was also available at least once a week to ensure I had adequate support and work to do and to make sure the placement was meeting my expectations. -one of my team members was available almost daily to ensure i was supported in all my tasks
Culture
Kind and collaborative atmosphere. there is a excellent focus on wellbeing and ensuring a good work life balance.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the placement. it was a great insight into the corporate world and i was able to learn a lot about the functions of the bank and how trade and receivables finance specifically works to help businesses fill gaps in their cash flow cycle
