Overview
In my specific team I work on creating events for colleagues to educate them on cybersecurity, fraud, technology, and any associated risks.
Skills
I have developed my skills in teamwork, time management and discipline, and working independently. I have also learnt new skills such as stakeholder management through having many meetings and organising colleagues and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
I was given the responsibility of setting up all of these events, organising meetings and people, and designing the runway all quite independently and with initiative.
Support & Guidance
My team were fully supportive of my work whenever I needed it. The Emerging Talent team were always there to help. I amount of learning resources with eLearning, LinkedIn learning and HSBC university were hugely beneficial.
Culture
The culture is very welcoming and inclusive. The hours were flexible around commitments and everyone was really bright, friendly and helpful.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the whole experience greatly. The only downside was working remotely due to Covid-19.
Yes
Be yourself when applying, and show a real and genuine eagerness to learn and develop, as that is what they care about the most.
