Overview
Worked with personnel across trading, tech, sales and operations to help solve issues, develop new frameworks and streamline and improve the business flow
Skills
Developed skills in juggling radically different tasks, maintaining a strong network of individuals to go to with issues, understanding of complex financial products and strategy and strong organizational understanding.
Responsibilities
I was given significant responsibility - the opportunity to pursue my own projects, run projects with little overhead and allowed to explore business functions independently and keep my own deadlines
Support & Guidance
Support and guidance always available from a range of figures, from my immediate team and line manager through to a strong mentor/buddy program to the figures in HR present throughout. Everyone more than willing to offer advice and support at the drop of a hat.
Culture
Very relaxed and inclusive - strong and sincere drive for the various networks, people seemed to be comfortable being themselves in the office. Good volunteering program that encourages interaction with the community locally, and socialising events available and frequent.
Your Impressions
I had an extremely good time with my internship - the company culture makes it a healthy and enjoyable place to be, and the team I was fortunate enough to land in were exceedingly supportive, friendly and including. It has more than exceeded my expectations of a summer internship, and I'd be very keen to return.
